The device model is one of the necessary process library files provided by the foundry to customers. The device model is based on device physics and uses mathematic to describe the performance of device. It uses mathematical equations, equivalent circuits and process data fitting methods to accurately describe the current-voltage relationship of the device. It is an important basis for circuit simulation.

It provides device test data processing and analysis, typical model extraction, layout effect model extraction, process corner model extraction, statistics and mismatch model extraction, model library verification analysis, and other functions.
